This class takes place March 15, 2022 from 7-9pm EST on Zoom.

- Are you uncomfortable not knowing all the answers to all the questions students might ask?
- Do you want to signal and show that you are an ally to your LGBTQIA+ students, but also don’t want to run afoul of district policy?
If you have ever had those questions this is the class for you!
In this class small Zoom class, I will teach you how to do an inventory and review of LGBTQ+ books and materials you already have on hand. Then, I will introduce and show you how to use my 4 category method for LGBTQ+ representation book and lesson planning diversity. You will learn a system for introducing LGBTQ+ books in the classroom including which categories of books are best for display and which should be introduced with teacher guidance. This workshop will give you the tools to be able to find great books and materials for your classroom, craft engaging lessons that include and affirm LGBTQIA+ people, and make clear that you are a LGBTQIA+ ally in your school.
